Versus-Airlines
Animal Hospital
Script work for Versus-Airlines's Animal Hospital release.
Context
Animal Hospital is a shift-based game: you treat patients, run tests and keep the hospital clean, while skinwalkers and anomalies try to get in. I wrote the Versus-Airlines script for it, which went through several versions, from a simple first release to the larger Pro build.
My contribution
Script work for Versus-Airlines.
Technical approach
The Pro build separates objective/check-in automation, room treatment, emergency care, DNA prompts and other subsystems. A shared scheduler prioritises some actions over others. Replay, cleaning and defense retain separate controls. Reporting tracks local round events and action attempts rather than confirmed cures or kills.
- Iterative releases
- Tabbed UI
- Session stats
Features
Shifts and treatment
- Follow objectives and check in visitors
- Separate admitted-patient and emergency-room treatment controls
- Trigger DNA/sample and room-workflow prompts for tests and results
- Start-shift prompts and replay votes with a configured shift limit
- Clean tagged grime and extinguish fires
Defense
- Close shutters for detected skinwalker visitors
- Attempt extinguisher hits on detected ghost/hider anomalies
- Equipped-tool attacks on nearby tagged zombies
- Monster-defense tasing and separate critical-patient tasing
- Filter future jumpscare/cutscene connection registrations; existing handlers may remain
Inventory and care
- Buy a named item and trash inventory when full
- Trigger nearby shop prompts for one selected upgrade/consumable category
- Drink coffee below a sanity threshold
- Separate requests to revive other players or self
Controls and reporting
- Restore camera and hide the cutscene blackscreen
- Session shift-event, treatment, rejection and anomaly-hit counters—not confirmed heals or kills
- Movement settings, anti-idle, manual save/load and unload
About the evidence
Reviewed the Pro build only. Shift subsystems have separate controls and shared scheduling. Statistics count local events or action attempts, not confirmed treatment or combat outcomes. These lists follow implemented callbacks, not menu labels alone. The scripts were not executed or tested in a live game; game/API changes and server acceptance remain unverified.
