Grow a Garden 2

Script work for Versus-Airlines's Grow a Garden 2 release.

Context

Grow a Garden 2 is a farming game: plant seeds, harvest and sell fruit, and keep an eye on the weather and events, which change what crops are worth. I wrote the Versus-Airlines script for it, including a separate version for the Fall Harvest event.

My contribution

Script work for Versus-Airlines.

Technical approach

The script works out what your garden and backpack are worth using the game's sell rules and shows the totals on screen. It also predicts upcoming weather and moon phases, can notify you about rare weather, and can pause automation during events. Planting can follow a pattern at a saved position, with a cap per cycle and a reserve of seeds kept back. Collecting can be filtered by fruit, rarity, mutation and weight. Alongside the main script, I wrote a developer tools panel (debug logs, network message names) and a self-test script for checking things after game updates.
  • Filtered automation
  • Value overlays
  • Weather forecasts

Engineering challenge

Game updates kept changing things, so I kept several builds (Modern, Fluent and an event version) together with developer tools and a self-test, which made it faster to find what broke after each update.

About the evidence

Reviewed the Modern build only. Fall Harvest support here is place travel, not an event submission/reward routine. Separate developer tools and self-tests are not player features. These lists follow implemented callbacks, not menu labels alone. The scripts were not executed or tested in a live game; game/API changes and server acceptance remain unverified.
